Stickerbush, Edward Snowden was not military, rather a civilian contractor who went to work with the NSA with the primary purpose of stealing confidential information then the running to countries not friendly with the United States to divulge the secrets he had stolen.

If the Patriots do have to pay him and if the courts and do a find him guilty I would imagine the courts would be able to stipulate just how that money is used.

There sure are a lot of complaints about our government and I wonder how many of those complaining have taken the time to vote? The highest percentage of voter turnout during a general election was in 1960 and that was 63.1% of the registered voters.

lfergie812, I agree with you but would add, the things that have changed are technology and conscription. I'd be willing to bet those complaining the loudest have never served a day in uniform.

Who is this man to cherry pick sensitive information he feels should be released? Was he paid for this specific information? If he were a spy, as he alleges, he then understands the full consequences of betraying the trust put in him.
